Using An Egg Donor in Kansas City: The Waiting Game Continues….

One of the most challenging aspects of coping with infertility is the time you have to wait.  Waiting for test results, waiting to hear back from your clinic, waiting to see if “it worked this time.”  The list could go on and on.

There is a bit of relief for most people when they decide on a new opportunity to build and grow their family, such as using an egg donor.  Getting started can be scary but exhilarating, being filled with hope that this new path will finally lead to success and happiness.

And then you find yourself waiting, again.  Waiting to learn how to start the process, and with who.  Waiting on finding the right donor, and then waiting for all of the next steps that come after that.  Unfortunately, waiting is part of it all, and you cannot do much if anything to change that.  But, you can enhance your coping strategies to help you get through those difficult waiting periods.

Here are a few suggestions:

Seek out support from new people and places.  It is difficult to open up to others about your struggles, but finding friends or professionals who “get it” is better than trying to get support from others who simply cannot give you what you need.

Work on communication and boundaries.  Learning how to communicate differently and directly with others (including your partner or spouse) can help in clarifying what you need (and don’t need) from others.

Be kind to yourself.  Self-talk is very powerful so be careful how you talk to yourself.  Imagine yourself having a conversation with your best friend who was having the difficulties you are experiencing.  What would you say to him/her?  Heed your own advice….

Finding a Gestational Surrogate in Kansas City: How long will it take?

Planning to use a gestational surrogate to build and grow your family is a wonderful opportunity for those that do not have the option of carrying or delivering a baby.  Making the final decision and being ready can take quite some time so when you are ready, waiting to find the right surrogate can feel like an eternity.

If you choose to find your own gestational surrogate, it can take many months to years to find a candidate that meets all of your requirements, and all of your doctor’s requirements.  Many times intended parents will go through a screening process with 2-3 candidates if not more to find the right person.

Pathways To Parenthood has screened gestational surrogates that are ready and waiting to be matched with intended parents.  If you are ready to move forward with using a gestational surrogate to build and grow your family, contact us today.

Ethnic Egg Donors In Kansas City Needed: Contact Pathways To Parenthood Today!

Many egg donor agencies and fertility clinics face the challenge of finding donors of different ethnicities.  Currently we are looking for Asian, Indian and African-American donors.

On top of the heartache that is typical with infertility, ethnic couples face special challenges when it comes to finding egg donors largely due to cultural reasons.  Few young women of Asian, Indian, Jewish and Middle Eastern descent choose to participate in the increasingly popular form of assisted reproduction.

In certain cultures, elder family members wouldn’t understand.   Also, young college-educated women, who are most in demand, frequently don’t want to undergo or do not actually understand the treatments that are needed to induce ovulation and the harvesting of their eggs.  That means long waits for would-be parents who often have already tried other alternatives and who long for a baby that shares their genetic heritage. And sometimes, couples end up paying inflated fees.

At Pathways To Parenthood, the process is completely anonymous and we work with highly trained physicians and fertility clinics that are very skilled in what they do.  If you are a female of ethnic decent and would like to help someone of your own culture, please contact us at www.pathwaystoparenthood.com.
