The Importance of Healthy Relationships With Your Surrogacy Agency And Your Surrogate.

Pathways To Parenthood:  An Egg Donor & Surrogacy Agency understands the importance of creating and fostering healthy relationships between all parties for surrogacy arrangements. The elements for these healthy relationships are exactly the same as they would be for any important relationship.  However, it is more challenging to accomplish than a one on one relationship as there are multiple relationships involved.

It is essential to learn, understand, and/or review these essential elements before you begin your surrogacy journey.  The most important elements for healthy relationships between intended parents, surrogacy agency and surrogate include effective communication, healthy boundaries, clearly defining roles and expectations, and flexibility.  There are certainly more important aspects of creating and fostering these very important relationships, but if you can master these fundamental elements, you will greatly enhance the quality of your relationships during your surrogacy process.

Pathways To Parenthood Egg Donor Shares Her Story

My hope in sharing some of my thoughts and feelings about my journey as a first- time -egg donor is to help others know what an amazing experience helping others build and grow their family can be!

I have two amazing children of my own and know the joys of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.  My heart breaks knowing there are so many good people that want to experience these same joys but can’t because of infertility.  It only makes sense to me to donate my eggs, that I will not use myself, to give others a chance they would not otherwise have to be parents.

Working with Pathways To Parenthood made my egg donation process easy and stress-free.  I knew what to expect and they were always available to answer my questions and address my needs.

The whole experience of being an egg donor for a loving couple that wanted a baby was more fulfilling than I imagined.  I feel lucky to have been a part of such a special process for my recipient family.  I plan to donate again and look forward to helping another family realize their dream of becoming parents.

Making the Decision to Use An Egg Donor in Kansas City

You probably know by now that men and women tend to approach many things in life differently.  Neither is right or wrong, just different, and it is important to maintain this perspective throughout the decision making process to use an egg donor.  Regardless of these differences, it is essential to develop a joint vision when moving forward with using an egg donor to build your family.

It might be helpful to you to think about what differences exist for you and your partner, and BE SPECIFIC.  To build a joint vision, you will likely need to discuss issues that you feel and think differently about.  So start with examining your own thoughts and feelings about using a donor to build your family.  If you cannot understand your own thoughts and feelings about it, it will be impossible to discuss them with your partner.

If you are having a difficult time sorting through your own thoughts and feelings, or discussing them with your partner, counseling can be helpful.  Contact Pathways To Parenthood today and we can assist you in working through the decision making process.
