I thought about being an egg donor for quite some time and what initially gave me the idea to help others in such a special way was a conversation with my husband. We knew friends and family members struggling with infertility and saw their heartbreak first hand. How could we not consider this opportunity to give such a special gift?
I have two amazing children of my own and know the joys of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. My heart breaks knowing there are so many good people that want to experience these same joys but can’t because of infertility. It only makes sense to me to donate my eggs, that I will not use myself, to give others a chance they would not otherwise have to be parents.
